From here on out I (and anyone that gets to share my cooking) will be rating the food I am making on an arbitrary scale I have invented for this blog.
Mazui (不味い) – pronounced Maw-Zoo-Ee – Means Awful, gross, unappetizing!
Maa~Maa (まま) – pronounced Maw-Maw – It means OK… not great, not horrible.
Oishii (美味しい) – pronounced O-Ee-Shee -It means Yummy!
Umai (うまい) – pronounced Ooo – My (Not “Oh my!” But Ooo like shock and awe!) – It means Delicious!
Maiu! (マイウ) – pronounced My – Ooo – I have been told by an very unreliable source (That means you Apple!) that in the comedy world Maiu, the rearranged Umai, is supposed to be “Holy crap this is amazing!” but who knows… as far as this blog is concerned it is my ultimate food stamp!
I hope this primer helps to decode my future critiques of the food I and anyone else gives. I urge you to flex your culinary and gastronomical muscles and try out as many of these recipes as you can and please post with your own opinion of them!
